When asked about the popularity of realistic
art, Peggy states, "People want to bring into their homes the
wildlife and landscapes that their busy lives do not allow them to enjoy
as often as they would like. So many of us need to flee city life
and immerse ourselves in the natural world -- hence the continuing popularity of realistic wildlife
and western art."
Peggy combines observation, scientific training, and creativity
to produce what many consider fine realistic sculpture, as well as
original oil paintings. See the Sculpture Gallery for her sculpture and the Flatwork Gallery for
her paintings.
From time to time, Peggy offers work on
Ebay. Check out the current Ebay offerings under DetmersStudios.
Growing up
in South Dakota influenced Peggy's creative life.
Peggy's scientific training enables her to bring
bronze to life in her creative
process.

created for Kevin Costner's Tatanka -- Story of the Bison in
