This piece is a bust of the rocky mountain goat. I wanted to capture a lot of detail in the animal’s face; it has so many facets and forms within the face itself. I use the patina to explore that facial landscape. I chose to create the bust by incorporating some modern art design in the lines following its shoulder profile. I also used a free texture in the back of the piece to be able to relieve myself of some of the restrictions of realistic art. .
